This 11nights and 12days tour (Discover Bhutan Tour) in Bhutan will take you through Bumthang, which are the religious heart land, holiest valley and home to some of the oldest monasteries in Bhutan. In this tour, we can do the complete sightseeing in western, central Bhutan and part of eastern Bhutan.

Day 01. Paro – Thimphu.
Receive at Paro Airport by the representative of Authentic Bhutan Tours. We will visit National Museum, Paro Dzong. Lunch at Paro. After our lunch, we will drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The drive will take about 1hour 20minutes. On reaching Thimphu, we will do a short hike, Wangditse Hike. The hike starts from BBS tower till Dechenphodrang, through pine forest. From this hike we can see the Thimphu town (Capital City) beautifully. The hike will take about 1hour 30minutes. Eveing stroll around Thimphu town. Dinner and over night stay at Thimphu, Hotel.

Day 02. Thimphu Halt
Sightseein in Thimphu - visit to Memorial Chhorten, Changangkha Lhakhang, Mothithang minizoo to see the National Animal of Bhutan (Takin), Zulikha Nunnery, Folk Heritage Museum and National Library. Lunch in Thimphu town. After lunch, we will visit Paper Factory, Weaving Center and then Handicraft Emporium.
Evening at Leisure. Dinner and over night stay at Thimphu, Hotel

Day 03. Thimphu - Trongsa
Drive to Trongsa over dochula pass and via Phobjikha valley. On reaching Gangtey, we will visit Gangtey Goenpa. Lunch will be served at Nobding. On reaching Gangtey, we will visit the Gangtey Goenpa and then we will hike the Gangtey Natural Trail. The hike will take about 1hour 20 minutes through the pine forest. From this hike we can see the Phobjikha valley which the home to the endangered bird Black-necked Cranes in winter, so beautifully. Dinner and over night stay at Phobjikha.

Day 04. Phobjikha - Bumthang
Drive to Bumthang over Yongtongla pass and Trongsa. On reaching Trongsa, we will visit the impressive Trongsa Dzong. Lunch at Trongsa.  After lunch, we will drive to Bumthang. On reaching Bumthang, we will visit Bumthang Farm House for Hot Stone Bath (We Bhutanese people believe that the hot stone bath has medicinal values) and farm house dinner. We can also arrange a night halt in Farm House if your guests are interested to do so.

Day 05. Bumthang – Mongar
We will drive to Mongar. The drive will take about 6 hours. We will take hot pack lunch. We will see the scattered settlements of eastern Bhutan. Dinner and over night stay at Mongar.

 Day 06. Mongar – Lhuentshi (Day Excursion)
Today we will make a day excursion to Lhuentshi. We will pass by the villages. Lunch we will take hot pack lunch.
At Lhuentshi, we will visit Lhuentshi dzong. Then we will drive back to Mongar. Dinner and over night stay at Mongar.

Day 07. Mongar - Bumthang
Visit Mongar Dzong and then drive to Bumthang. Lunch - hot pack lunch. On reaching at Tang, we will visit Mebar Tsho, the burning lake. Evening stroll around the Bumthang town. Dinner and over night stay at Bumthang.

Day 08. Bumthang Halt.
Sightseeing in Bumthang - Visit to Jambay  Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, then walk over the  Chamkhar chhu till Tamshing Monastery. Lunch will be served at Bumthang. Visit to Jakar dzong, Cheese and honey factory. Evening we can visit the farm house for dinner and local drinks like suja (butter tea) and Ara. Overnight stay can be arranged in the Farm House, if the clients are interested.

Day 09. Bumthang - Gangtey
Early in the morning drive to Punakha.Lunch will be served at Nobding or Wangdi. We will hike to Chhimi Lhakhang, which is located at a hill top. The temple is also known as 'the temple of fertility.The hike will take about 30minutes from the road end then continue the journey to Punakha. At Punakha we will visit the most magnificent Punakha Dzong. Dinner and over night stay at Punakha.

Day 10. Punakha - Paro
Drive to Paro. On reaching Paro, we will make a hike to Taktshang, Tiger's Nest. We have to walk about 2hours 30minutes  upsteep. On our way back, it will just take about 1hour 30 minutes, down stream. Lunch we will have at Taktshang cafteria. On our way back to hotel, we will visit Kyichu Lhakhang and we will stroll around the Paro town. Dinner and over night stay at Paro, Hotel

Day 11. Paro – Haa (Day Excursion)
Drive to Haa over Chelela Pass. The pass is about 3800m. At Haa we willvisit Lhakhang Karpo and the small town of Haa. Lunch will be served at Haa resturant or we will take hot pack lunch. Drive back to Paro on our way back we will visit Dzongdrakha Lhakhang. Evening at leisure. Dinner and over night stay at Paro.

Day 12. Paro – Paro Airport.
Drive to Paro International Airport for your return flight. Your Bhutanese Guide and Driver will bid you fare well here at the Airport. We wish you a very safe and pleasant journey back to your country. We will hope to see you again.
