Bhutan – the land of thunder dragon has been often described by the visitors as ‘Friendly, Beautiful, Wonderful, Religious, Unique Culture, Undiscovered country, Pristine Nature and many more’. In order to keep these names, Authentic Bhutan Tours & Travels personally feels that the Community Based Tourism in Bhutan is very much important for the long term sustainability of tourism in Bhutan. Community Based Tourism will increase the participation of communities in the tourism sector and subsequently increase the benefits of it to the local people. If our local people are given the benefits from the tourism sector, than they know the value of preservation of their indigenous and unique culture and traditions, conservation of their environment, wildlife and sustainable management of natural resources base.
We at Authentic Bhutan Tours & Travels try our own small ways to promote ‘Community Based Tourism in Bhutan’. All the visitors and guests with Authentic Bhutan Tours & Travels will experience, visiting the villages, having meals in the local farm houses, hot stone bath in the farm houses, accompanied by local guides and many more. We indeed, try our best to give equitable share in the economic benefits of the tourism to the local people. On top of this, we try to create a unique opportunity for raising awareness and enhancing support for preservation of their local cultures & traditions, conservation of environment. Thus fulfilling our national objectives as ‘gross national happiness is more important than gross national product’.
