Koma Textile Tours (12 Days / 11 Nights)

DAY 1. BKK/PBH – THIMPHU
The flight into Paro on our national carrier, Druk Air, is a befitting introduction to the spectacular beauty of our country. In clear weather, magnificent views of the world’s highest peaks, give way to the lush green Paro valley as you land. Your Bhutanese escort from Authentic Bhutan Tours will greet you on arrival, and then drive you to the Paro Rimpung Dzong, the centre of civil and religious authority in this region. After this we will have lunch in the Paro town. Then we will drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The drive will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Dinner and over night stay in the hotel, Thimphu.

DAY 2. THIMPHU – BUMTHANG
Today we will drive to Bumthang. The drive will take about 9hours drive, through the forest of rhododendron and semi tropical forest. We will be passing by the two pass dochula pass (3150m)  and the Yutongla pass (3400m). At docula we can see the eastern Hiamalyas mountain ranges on clear days.
Lunch at Chendbji Resturant. After lunch we will continue our journey to Bumthang.
Dinner and over night stay in hotel, Bumthang.

DAY 3. BUMTHANG HALT
Today we will experience the dying and the weaving of textile.
Lunch in the hotel. After lunch we will continue with the weaving or sightseeing in Bumthang.
Dinner and over night stay in hotel, Bumthang.

DAY 4. BUMTHANG – MONGAR
After our breakfast, we will drive to Mongar, over Thrumshingla pass (3800m). The drive will take about 7hours.On the clear days we will the white summit of the highest peak in Bhutan, Gangkar Puensum at 7545m. Today we will driving through the forest of rhododendron, conifer and the forest of semi-tropical and subtropical. The Mongar marks the beginning of our eastern Bhutan experience. The towns in eastern Bhutan are built on the sides of the hills, in contrast to western Bhutan where the towns develop on the valley floor. 
Dinner and over night stay in hotel, Mongar.

DAY 5. MONGAR – LHUENTSHI
Today we will drive to Lhuentshi. The drive will take about 3hours. on reaching Lhuentshi, we have our lunch at our camp. After lunch we will visit Khoma village, which is one of the famous village for the production of textile in Bhutan. We will experience the weaving in this village.
Dinner and over night stay in camp, Lhuentshi.

DAY 6. LHUENTSHI
Today whole day we will experience the dying and the weaving of textile.
Dinner and over night stay in camp, Lhuentshi.

DAY 7. LHUENTSHI – BUMTHANG
After our breakfast, we will drive to Bumthang. The drive will take about 8hours.
Lunch picnic pack lunch.
Dinner and over night stay in hotel, Bumthang.

DAY 8. BUMTHANG – PUNAKHA
We will drive to Punakha. The drive will take about 6hours and 30minutes. At Trongsa we will visit the magnificent dzong of Bhutan, Trongsa dzong.
Lunch we will have at Chendebji restaurant. After our lunch we will continue our journey. On reaching Wangduephodrang we will visit Wangduephodrang dzong.
Dinner and over night stay Punakha.

DAY 9. PUNAKHA – THIMPHU
Toady we will visit Punakha dzong, it was the winter capital of Bhutan until 1955 when the capital was permanently shifted to Thimphu. It still served as the winter resident for the monk body and the Chhimi Lhakhang, which is located at a hilltop. We have to walk almost 25minutes from the road point. The temple is also known as the temple of fertility. Then we will drive to Thimphu.
Lunch at dochula cafeteria. After lunch we will continue our journey to Thimphu.on reaching Thimphu if we have time we can do some sight seeing in Thimphu.
Dinner and over night stay in hotel, Thimphu.

DAY 10. THIMPHU – PARO
Till lunch time we will do sightseeing in Thimphu.
Lunch in the hotel, Thimphu. After lunch we will drive to Paro. On reaching Paro, we may visit the farm house to learn more about the life of farmers in Bhutan.
Dinner and over night stay in Paro.

DAY 11. PARO HALT
After early breakfast, hike to the view point of Taktshang, (Tiger’s Nest) monastery. We have to walk about 1hours & 30minutes up steep from the road end. The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest, many of the trees festooned with Spanish moss, and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags. After enjoying the view & photographs, and refreshment at the viewpoint (Taktshang Cafteria) we will walk back.
Lunch will be served in the town.
After lunch we will visit National Museum of Bhutan and Kyichu Lhakhnag.
Evening stroll around the Paro town.
Dinner will be served in the farm house.
Over night stay in the hotel.

DAY 12. PARO –AIRPORT
Today we will drive to Paro international Airport to catch the flight to your next destination. Our guide and driver will bid you farewell and we wish you a safe and pleasant journey back home and hope to see you again in Bhutan.
