Payment Procedure
As per the Royal Government of Bhutan’s regulations, all tour payment must be made in advance. Authentic Bhutan Tours will provide the clients its bank details/account number, payment invoices and necessary information for depositing the payments, once the tour booking is confirmed. The payments for the trips are not accepted by credit cards. So the trip to Bhutan must be prepaid cash by wiring it to our company’s bank account in Bhutan.
Visa will not be accepted without full payment.
Minimum Tourist Tariff.
The minimum daily tariffs are set by the Department of Tourism, Royal Government of Bhutan and can not be negotiated. The rates are as follows:
High Season Rates (January, February, March, June, April, May, September, October November and December)
Cultural/Trekking : US$ 200/- per night halt per person
Surcharge (Single Individual) : US$ 40/- per night halt per person
(Group of Two) : US$ 30/- per night halt per person
Off Season Rates (July and August)
Cultural/ Trekking : US$ 165/- per night halt per person.
Surcharge (Single Individual) : US$ 40/- per night halt per person
(Group of Two) : US$ 30/- per night halt per person
We don't charge the royalty and other taxes, for any number of days if your arrival/departure is delayed because of weather condition, road blocks, Druk Air delay etc. But you have to bear your daily expenses.
Discounts:
50% discount for one person with 11 to 15 persons paying.
100% discount for one person with 16 and above persons paying.
25% discount for diplomats from foreign embassies/missions accredited to Bhutan.
50% discount for children between 6 to 12 years accompanied by parents/guardians.
25% discount for full time students below 25 years of age holding valid student identity cards.
The minimum daily packages rates shall be inclusive of the following:
Royalty
Lodging (twin bedded rooms in standard hotel)
Meals (three meals a day)
Land Transportation within Bhutan
Service of guides (English Speaking)
Entrance fees for the museums.
Riding ponies and pack animals on treks.
The minimum daily packages rates shall not include the following:
Air fare
Airport Taxes
Visa fees
Medical Expenses
Drinks at the hotel
Tourism Development Fund
Insurance coverage
Agency Commission.
As per the international norm, 10 percent of the gross tour payment shall be payable to the principal agents abroad as commission and shall be deducted by these agents at source. But the 10 percent agency commission to agents abroad shall not be deductible from the surcharge.
Insurance
To protect against unforeseen accidents and mishaps, we would like to suggest and advise you to have a Travel Insurance policy from your country. The Travel Insurance policy should cover helicopter evacuation services and medical assistance. Authentic Bhutan Tours will not be liable for any kind of injury, illness or death during your visit to Bhutan either of trek or cultural tour.
